ABOUT CHELLA PETRELLI
The Full Story
Chella Petrelli’s music exudes a mysterious and peculiar energy intended to reach the listener’s deepest thoughts; a curation of electrifying vocals, velvety smooth basslines and subtle yet eccentric melodies that bring her lyrics to life.
Chella was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, and like most musicians, wrote songs and played guitar early in life. After graduating at 17 from a Māori-language immersion school in 2015 with no music qualifications besides Kapa Haka, she decided to pursue music and enrolled into Unitec where she further developed her passion for writing and singing.
Translating and personifying her thoughts and experiences into songs, her style is heavily influenced by late 90’s and early 2000’s RnB and focuses more on the messages than the structure of her pieces. She also incorporates elements of Reggae and Rap with intentions to influence masses to be conscious and aware of the importance of self-love and our mental health.

-Plans to release her first single & EP in 2020.
